THE ACTIVITIES |

WOMEN WHO BUILD has directed its efforts towards maintaining itself continuously active since 1995, in such a way that our project has grown acquiring greater importance and greater credibility day by day. The line of work has concentrated on: - National creation, and currently becoming international, of a network of women architects and professionals commited with the world of construction, interested in the development of a group project. - The compilation of 200 works of architecture carried out in Spain by women architects or teams where their participation has played a significant role, financed as research work by the Ministry of Public Works and collected together in five volumes with plans, photographs, descriptive reports and reflections by the authors on the professional practice. (Not yet published). |

- Publication of three books containing the speeches from the Meetings (Madrid Community, 1999, 2000 & 2002). Publication of the Cathalogue of the Building from the Inside Exhibition (Ministry of Public Works, 2000) and the two separatas of the Cathalogue: one for Beirut Exhibition and one for Rome Exhibition. Publication of the book containing the speeches from the City and Women 3rd Act:Space, time and conciliation: what is left to do.

Design
and custodianship of the itinerant
exhibition which, under the title "Building from the inside. An imaginary journey through the poetry
of built spaces", brings together thirty-nine architectural works carried out in Spain by
three generations of women architects or teams in which they have played a
significant role, seven lebanese women architects, five italian, five italian and seven dutch.
- Design and custodianship of the itinerant exhibition "Building in Parity". In colaboration with the Andalusian Women Institute.
- WOMEN WHO BUILD has taken part in different congresses, meetings and courses organised by different Universities, Town Councils and national and international Institutions. It also publishes articles in specialized journals, etc.
- WOMEN WHO BUILD belongs to the advisory comitee of Menhir Magazine of Architecture and stone construction, and has been member of the jury for the Young Architects Menhir prizes 2001.
