“Daily life, seen through womens´ eyes, must become a political matter” ( 5th act of the European Charter for Women and Cities). Under
the headline The
Inhabitable City, we proposed the creation of a space for thought,
discussion and exchange of ideas and experiences over the authentic contribution
and participation of women in the building of human habitats.
Sewing back time and space, weaving and thinking them over, in order to create a more inhabitable city, is a difficult task, nonetheless a beautiful challenge for those women and men who want to build a city that reflects diversity and promotes an egalitarian culture. |
