Following the 2000 International Encounter dedicated to the Mediterranean House, the new spring encounter chose the Mediterranean City as the proposed topic of debate.
The Mediterranean Sea and the City are symbolic places for encounters with oneself, others and the environment one lives in and it is within these symbolic places that the need to establish a more harmonous relationship between oneself and the enviornment are ignited. It was these pressing factors that were addressed in the historical Alcalá University during the fourth Encounter in architecture.
