EXHIBITION BUILDING FROM THE INSIDE:  2. The Journey

 


Let us take the words our colleague, Mercedes Castaño uses to explain her impressions of the exhibition:"We start the journey ready to let 

ourselves be seduced by the mystery that these places give off ":

 

- The house, the seed, the roots, the presence of a mother, the opening up to life, the fire and its heat, the shelter and protection, the most intimate redoubt, the place you where return is needed.

 

- Daily life, extends the first steps and expands them to the exterior, the search for  meeting spaces 

 

- The school, the opening up to others, the first shared games, learning as enjoyment, a space where all projects are possible,

 

- Living together, in the places with the purpose of meeting people’s basic requirements,

 

- Work, places that allow the development of each person’s capabilities to benefit all,

 

- Joyfulness, because from solace, space is inhabited by games, laughter and noise and humanizes

 

- The Place, close by, ever embracing, that houses an enriching diversity for respect and tolerance,

 

- Memory, places the human being finds themselves in the middle of the experiences by those who preceded him/her and left their mark on the  place inhabited by them. Architecture as a storage place of the presences of other humans, with the desire for permanancy.

 

- Silence, contemplation, tranquillity, serenity, intimate and sole enjoyment, the inclination towards attentive and concentrated listening, the  spiritual dimension of the human being,

 

- The departure, absences, life as a transitional journey,

 

- The rebirth, the return to the roots, through the candid and enchanted look of a little girl, reminder of the first women whose descendents populated the earth and made it beautiful.

 

- The dreams, The sky closes itself, by the many worlds conformed by the human being, places that encompass our existence, places concieved from the inside, by those that are lovers of emotion, affection and places of harmony. In this way the encounter of the human being, with oneself is deeper, spaces that will reach its pure sense, that will cost life the presence of those that demand it.
